2K Games has appointed Ben Brinkman from Respawn Entertainment to lead the studio crew at 31st Union, which is currently working on the upcoming third-person roguelike extraction-shooter known as this innovative game.
Leadership Transition Follows Mixed Response
The new appointee steps into the role of studio head at the development studio following the departure of previous head Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to the game's underwhelming unveiling last autumn.
Recently, 2K president a key figure informed staff about this decision through an official communication, which highlighted that playtesting had revealed the need for a clearer game identity.
Ismailer expressed that the team is now reimagining Project Ethos with a renewed vision, aiming to address community desires.
A Pattern of Key Recruitment
The news echoes a comparable move taken by 2K Games in August, when they hired an industry veteran from the Diablo team to assist with the BioShock studio Cloud Chamber.
