Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden important achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would seriously consider lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
